A viral video showed Aaron Schlossberg yelling at staff after speaking spanish to other customers at a midtown Manhattan deli. He had threatened to call immigration and said ” they should be speaking English,” among other racist comments.
The lawyer decided to apologize in a statement written on Twitter.
“To the people I insulted, I apologize. Seeing myself online opened my eyes — the manner in which I expressed myself is unacceptable and is not the person I am. I see my words and actions hurt people, and for that I am deeply sorry.”
