The NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau has been investigating 72nd Precinct Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez since reports that he gave an order to shoot 50 Cent “on sight.”

They recently closed their investigation, and made a conclusion that the rapper was just making “a bad joke,” and they did not believe it to be a threat, effectively closing their investigation without any consequence according to The Daily News.

Gonzalez’s comments were allegedly made after 50 Cent called him out for allegedly being behind the shut down of Love & Lust clubs last year.

50 Cent responded to the report without much surprise.

“I knew they were not going to do anything about this,” he wrote. “So I stop talking about it. NYPD is hands down the toughest gang in New York. You just gotta be ready for what ever. You know the vibes.”
