Back in December 4, 2001, Nas dropped one of the biggest diss songs of all time when he released “Ether.”

The Jay-Z diss track’s iconic status still holds until this day, although both parties have grown up and become friends.

18 years later, LeBron James is threatening to release his own Ether. The Los Angeles Laker went on Twitter to address some comments that have been made against him in the past weeks.

Most recently, former Cavaliers general manager David Griffin lashed out at his time with the team, including his experiences with King James in an interview with Sports Illustrated’s Jake Fischer.

The following season, however, brought that fantasy summer crashing back to reality. James’ contagious hunger to deliver a championship for Northeast Ohio dissipated. “There wasn’t a lot else for him,” Griffin says. “I don’t think he’s the same animal anymore about winning.” Many in the NBA now suggest James harbors two priorities: enduring to team with his eldest son, Bronny, and one day owning a franchise.

On top of that, he was also receiving backlash over footage of him celebrating his son’s accomplishments on the court, with some believing he is taking all of the attention for himself, and being overzealous.

James decided to go to Twitter to announce that he’s about ready to address everyone.

“Alright alright,” he wrote. “Enough is enough. The throne has been played with to much and I ain’t for horseplay. Ether coming soon!”
