A 27-year-old adult film star, Dakota Skye, was found dead in her Los Angeles apartment.
Dakota’s real name is Lauren Scott and her husband found her not breathing in their home. Lauren’s aunt claims their family has a long history of addiction. As Complex reports, the heartbreaking news was confirmed by her family, Linda Arden. Linda said, “She died almost exactly two years after her mother, my baby sister’s, death which was caused by addiction and alcoholism.”
Linda told a news publication that Lauren “was a product of a highly dysfunctional family involving drugs, alcohol, physical, emotional, verbal and sexual abuse.” Her official cause of death isn’t known, and authorities are investigating.
Lauren’s death comes weeks after she reportedly posted a topless photo in front of a George Floyd mural. Online critics saw that as disrespectful. She said the image was meant to celebrate bad cops being checked, but the photo has since been removed.
