It definitely is a brand new time in hip hop.

Months after the battle between Drake and Pusha T came to an abrupt end, the two are now continuing to recap the beef in media.

First Drake appeared on HBO’s The Shop this weekend where he discussed the beef in detail for the first time.

“Imma tell you,” he said. “Wishing death on my friend that has MS. I study rap battles for a living. Now when you mention defenseless people who are sick in the hospital that passed away, that really sent me to a place where, you know, I just believe then and believe now that there’s a price you have to pay for that. It’s just, it’s over. Someone’s gonna punch you in the f***ing face.”

Now Pusha T decided to tell his side of the story on The Joe Budden podcast.

“Where I’m from forreal, it ain’t ever personal it is always rap s***. I don’t believe nothing I’ve around here too long.”

I look it as  just competitive sparring. What’s up. I see everybody. I see them in hotels. We be in elevators together. It’s nothing. I’ve never taken it as serious as anything other than rap to be honest with you.”

He also said that a girl Drake’s producer 40 was messing around with shared information on the child, the trip to go see him and more.

“The information came from 40,” he said. “It didn’t come from Kanye at all. 40 is sleeping with a woman. He talks to her daily… like 5 to 6 hours a day. Provides opportunity for her. And ultimately speaks about how he is disgruntled about certain things like notoriety and things involving Drake’s career. With that also came the fact that Drake has a child. With that also came the trip that everybody took to go see the child and bring him gifts. She divulged this information, that’s where it came from.”

He later continued.

“Only reason I’m here now, for real for real, is because [Drake] was so passionate about the MS thing,” he said. “And they did the backlight and they put the spotlight on his face, ‘When you said my friend,’ but your friend is the reason why. That’s how it came about. That narrative’s gotta die. Listen, it needs to die. It’s done. That narrative is done.”
