There’s a change at the top!

Since 2011, Diddy has sat on the throne as hip hop’s wealthiest artist. In 2018, that conversation can be no more…for now.

Forbes released the list of hip hop’s wealthiest acts, and to be real it hasn’t changed too much in the past few years, but there is a change at the top.

JAY Z has taken the number one spot, increasing his net worth from $810 million to $900 million with deals from Armand de Brignac champagne and D’Ussé cognac, Roc Nation and Tidal.

Diddy isn’t too far behind as his net worth has increased to a total of $825 million as he is making money off of Ciroc, Revolt, DeLeon tequillia and Diageo.

Dr. Dre sits at number three with $770 million thanks to 2014’s Apple buyout of Beats headphones. Don’t be surprised to see him officially become hip hop’s first billionaire with some Apple stock on his way that can be worth over $100 million.

Eminem and Drake round out the top five, both having a net worth of $100 million.
