This is tragic.
The murder of a rapper named Indian Red Boy was captured on live.
His birth name is nèe Zerail Dijon Rivera, 21, and KCAL 9 News reports he was shot multiple times while sitting in his car on the evening of July 8 in Hawthorne. He allegedly dissed Nipsey Hussle, and authorities believe this is why he was targeted. Red Boy is allegedly affiliated with the Bloods gang, and he’s also accused of defacing a Nipsey mural.
The Los Angeles Police Department reports Red Boy was pronounced dead at the scene. There’s footage of the tragedy circulating on the Internet. In the graphic video, you hear a round of bullets ringing out, one struck Red Boy as he was on IG Live. Blood was pouring from his nose, and he struggled to say “get help.” His friends asked him “where you at,” and Red Boy answered, “Hawthorne.” Most of the videos have been removed from the Internet, however, some YouTubers still have the video up.
Hot New Hop Hop reports Lieutenant Ti Goetz of the Hawthorne Police Department said, “It appears to have been a walk-up shooting, and he appears to have been targeted … he appears to be a gang member.” Police are still searching for suspects.
