Today (Aug 16), the world learned Aretha Franklin passed away at the age of 76.
Her career consisted of 42 albums, 20 number one r&b singles, 18 Grammy Awards, and many other countless awards.
Although she was known as the Queen of Soul, Franklin’s legacy also lives on throughout samples in some of hip hop’s biggest tracks in the last 30 years.
