Rick Ross wants to secure his future car shows.

So his solution is to run for mayor in Fayetteville, Georgia.

As reported on BET, the Maybach Music Group founder decided to get into the local political race after he was denied a permit for his annual car show. Ross said via IG Story,

“I love Fayetteville so much. Next year I’m running for mayor. That’s right. The boss Rick Ross running for mayor of Fayetteville. I wanna know how many votes did it actually take to vote in the mayor of Fayetteville.” He continued,

“I need to know that ‘cause we gon’ become that. We gon’ make that happen, and we gonna have a good time. We gon’ give some people opportunities, we gon’ give some people raises and, of course, we gon’ have to clean some people out.”

WSB-TV points out the permit was denied because Rozay’s neighbors are against the car show due to all the traffic and commotion.

Earlier this month, people in Rick Ross’s petitioned to get his annual car show at his home shut down. Opposers urged the city commissioner to put an end to the event.

The neighbors claim last year it caused a lot of traffic, due to the number of cars waiting to get on Rick Ross’s property. At the time,

Ricky Rozay responded and said he was not surprised because nothing was ever handed to him. He said,

“I wound’t even feel right if they [weren’t] boycotting the boss, because I never got nothing easy. It was never handed to me. I would be confused if they just let me get the money. When everybody else just met big rich producers and got record deals and got rich, Ricky Rozay had to do it another way. So, I would be confused if they [weren’t] boycotting the boss.”

Ross has been promoting the car and bike show. He says some are spending $25,000 for a spot on his lawn.

The event goes down June 3, despite Ross being told he couldn’t have it.
