Sacramento police officers are responsible for the death of 22 year-old Stephon Clark after firing 20 shots and killing him in his own backyard.
A news conference was held on Clark’s behalf, and as expected, his grandmother Sequita Thompson broke down, crying for justice for her grandson.
“They didn’t have to kill him like that. They didn’t have to shoot him that many times Now my great-grandbabies don’t have their daddy,
“Why didn’t you shoot him in the arm? Shoot him in the legs? Send the dogs? Send the Taser?
I want justice for my baby. I want justice for Stephon Clark. Please give us justice,”cried Thompson.
Civil Rights lawyer Benjamin Crump was also in attendance, and is waiting for the independent autopsy to get answers on what really happened on that fatal night.
