Serena Williams Speaks Out Following Having To Withdraw From Wimbledon After Suffering An Injury

Serena Williams had to put tennis on pause for right now.During her first set of her Round 1 match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich, Serena slipped on the grass while planting one of her legs and injured her knee. She left briefly to seek medical attention from a trainer, returned, attempted to finish the match but couldn’t. The tennis champion broke down in tears and then fell to the ground due to the pain in her knee. She looked devastated and left the court.Serena decided to withdraw from Wimbledon. She received a well-deserved standing ovation from the crowd.
