Last Friday, it was reported that a transgender woman was viciously beaten up by man. The incident occurred after the victim, Muhlayisa Booker, alleged hit the suspect’s, Edward Thomas, car and tried to drive away.
According to Buzzfeed, the incident was caught on video and it was reported by Dallas police that the suspect was offered $200 to attack Booker. During the attack, Thomas and some other men began yelling derogatory statements to Booker as well.
Booker suffered from many injuries including a fractured wrist, a swollen and bruised face, and a concussion. The Mayor of Dallas, Mike Rawlings, said this about the incident, “I’m extremely angry about what appears to be mob violence against this woman.”
