Regretfully, our practices and training led to a bad outcome — the basis for the call to the Philadelphia Police Department was wrong. Our store manager never intended for these men to be arrested and this should never have escalated as it did.

The police commissioner of Philadelphia stood by his officers and said they did nothing wrong, and followed their trespassing policy.

These officers had legal standing to make this arrest,” said Commissioner Ross.  “These officers did absolutely nothing wrong. They followed policy, they did what they were supposed to do, they were professional in all their dealings with these gentlemen — and instead they got the opposite back.

According to reports the two victims agreed to meet with the CEO of Starbucks.

At first the CEO refused to comment on whether or not the store manager that called the cops will face any disciplinary actions nonetheless the news just broke that the store manager was LET GO…
