The hip hop world and fans all over are still mourning the untimely passing of rapper, Chinx. 5 years ago today (May 17), news broke that Queens native Chinx was shot and killed in his car as it sat at Queens Boulevard and 84th Drive in New York City.
Chinx whose real name is Lionel Pickens’ murder went unsolved for yearsuntil 2017, when two men were charged. Police arrested an aspiring rapper and another man from Long Island and charged them with following Chinx’ from a nightclub performance in Brooklyn to Queens and then shooting bullets into his car.
In the days following his murder, Lisa Evers, host of Street Soldiers was on the ground talking to the late rappers widow & trying to uncover the clues leading to those involved with the Queens natives death.
