In other Tamar news, is she reconciling with her ex-boyfriend, David Adefeso? The two started dating approximately 2017 and split in 2020. Their breakup wasn’t pretty, David alleged he was a “victim of domestic violence.” Recently, on Mother’a Day, fans noticed he shouted Tamar out.
He posted all the woman who mean something to him by sharing photos of them. In the post, he wrote special words for Tamar and credited her for teaching him, “how to love.” David said, “Then there’s @tamarbraxton . Thank you for teaching me how to love. And through all life’s challenges, growing together to become best friends.” He ended the message by saying he loves them. He also put the hashtags, #mothersday #happymothersday #blackgirlmagic #protectblackwomen
Tamar responded and said, “Thank you @david.adefeso I’ve learned so much from you also… and I’m so grateful. God is so good.”

Yahoo reports Tamar addressed rumors of them getting back together during a Q and A session with fans. An online user asked about her status with David, and Tamar replied, “We don’t know what the Lord has for me. I welcome whatever the Lord has.” Later, she clarified that although David “is amazing,” they’re not back together. Tamar said, “David is amazing, but we don’t go together.”
As far as new music, Tamar fans aka Tamartians, as she calls her supporters, should be delighted the singer retracted her retirement announcement. Four years ago, Tamar reportedly said she’d retire, but in April, she announced a tour, which she is currently on.
