Tyler Perry is undoubtedly one of the best playwrights of our time, but he is best known for the introduction of his most famous character, Mabel ‘Madea’ Simmons, but Madea’s reign is coming to an end. Perry announced that Madea will be put rest in his up coming movie A Madea Family Reunion. The movie is set to be released on March 1st, 2019.
The world was first introduced to Madea in the 2000 play I Can Do Bad All By Myself, and since then Madea has been coming into our homes. The gun-toting, wise-cracking grandma is claimed to be a version of Perry’s mother, grandmother, and other mature women in his life. Madea is played by Tyler Perry dressed in drag.
