Another story of good talent gone to waste.
Rising star Jason Mitchell was cut from hit show ‘The Chi,’ a Netflix production he was in, and his manger resigned after news broke of his sexual misconduct allegations.
Tiffany Boone, who played Mitchell’s girlfriend on the Showtime series, ‘The Chi’ made several complaints about his behavior and ultimately decided to no longer be on the show. Producers now have to rearrange the storyline since two of the main characters will no longer be on it. It’s not clear how Boone will leave, but writers are considering killing off Mitchell.
The “Straight Out Of Compton” actor spoke out online about the situation. He thanked his fans for their support and told people to not believe the media.
“I think it’s time to make a statement. To everyone commenting without any knowledge of what’s going please stop…and to all my supporters I appreciate you all and I’m sorry I will no longer be in (“The Chi”)..but don’t believe what you read in the media…” were the words he shared via an Instagram post. As of yet, we do not know what to make of it and nothing is set in stone. Though, we will keep you updated as further updates are given.
