Mary J. Blige or Monet Tejada?

The Internet had a field day after a video went viral of the queen of hip hop and R&B soul. Mary J. Blige was spotted sitting courtside at the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics basketball game at the Barclays in Brooklyn.

The clip that’s getting a lot of attention is when Mary told BK Nets player Kyrie Irving to “step it up.” Take a look at a repost from a Twitter user. In the caption, they wrote, “Mary J yelling at Kyrie to step it up court side like she talking to Cane on [Power].”

Mary is an actress on Power Book II: Ghost (Monet) and plays a stern, no-nonsense mother who also holds down a drug empire while her husband is in prison. Monet is a savvy street smart queen pen who is training her three children (Cane, Diana, and Dru), like soldiers, to learn the drug game.

In other exciting news, there will be an auction for a “one-of-a-kind piece of Super Bowl memorabilia,” Yahoo reports. Heritage Auctions announced the upcoming sale of a 2022 Super Bowl LVI leather Wilson football signed by some halftime performers, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Mary, Kendrick Lamar, and Anderon Paak. According to the outlet, the sale runs from May 12-14, and the current bid is at $2,600.

The 2022 Super Bowl halftime show, produced by Dr. Dre, made history as the first-ever all hip hop lineup. 50 Cent ended up being a surprise guest. Take a look back at when Ebro in the AM spoke on the entire show.
