The Mother Of Drake’s Son, Sophie Brussaux, Speaks On Raising Adonis

The Mother Of Drake’s Son, Sophie Brussaux, Speaks On Raising Adonis

Sophie Brussaux is opening up about her new black artistry series.

Sophie currently serves as Chief Visionary Officer of Arts Help, which is a Toronto-based non-profit she co-founded a few years ago. In celebration of Black History Month, the organization debuted their Black Artistry Series, which is a project that helps underrepresented creatives flaunt and explore their identity, HNHH reports.

During an interview with Complex, Sophie spoke to the publication about her art series and motherhood. Sophie’s passion for painting started as a fun hobby but now she feels it’s her purpose. Sophie said, “It’s born out of agape love for my son, art, and our fellow earthers. I used to paint for fun, and I still do, but now I paint with a purpose.”

When asked about Adonis, Sophie spoke about how her three-year-old with Drake is already exploring his creative capabilities. Sophie said,

“Art is a big part of the fun activities we do at home. We draw, create, we dance, and paint. Adonis is a very artistically inclined child. Whatever he chooses to do later in life he will have my full and loving support. We frame his paintings and put them up in the house next to other artists’ works. I want him to grow up seeing the value in the art he produces at every age.”
