With the holidays right around the corner, some people may wonder what can they do if they won’t be spending time with a significant other. If you’re single this season, don’t feel alone, there are so many things you can do to keep you occupied.

Here’s a list of what you can do if you’re single this holiday:

Spend time with family or friends.

This is the perfect time to catch up with those cousins and great aunts you hardly talk to throughout the year. Connecting with family can be a breath of fresh air!

Volunteer at a soup kitchen or shelter.

This is the perfect way to give back to your community and make a difference in someone’s life. It will give you a sense of purpose and you’ll have a greater appreciation for your life.

Plan a trip

Traveling is always an adventure and if it’s within your budget, you can plan something local or tropical. Seeing the world not only expands your horizons, but it’s also a great opportunity to meet new people.

Plan a spa day

If you enjoy getting pampered, why not treat yourself to a relaxing day at a spa. If your budget allows, indulge a little and go for the extra time or the extra deep tissue massage. This is a great way to relieve stress/anxiety.

Watch your favorite movies all day

If you’re a homebody, you can definitely round up all of your favorite films and relax in the comfort of your home. Don’t forget your favorite snacks and something to drink!

Treat yourself to something nice

It’s nice when someone can buy you something but you’ll feel a greater sense of independence when you can cop it yourself! Perhaps there’s a new item that you really wanted, if it’s within your budget, go for it! There is nothing wrong with treating yourself every once in a while.

Read a book/listen to a podcast

Grab one of your favorite books, or a self-help book if there is something in your life that you’d like to improve on. You can also catch up on a podcast.

Happy holidays from the Hot 97 family to yours!
