More drama with Drake concert ticket prices.
Last week, fans were upset over a possible $1,000 ticket, now, Ticketmaster is in some heat.
As reported on The Jasmine Brand, the ticket company faces a class action lawsuit after allegedly increasing prices for the It’s a Blur Tour, with Drake and 21 Savage.
According to the report, a Canadian law film, LPC Avocat Inc., says that the “ticket distribution website was aware about the tour before Drake announced it, but withheld information from the public that would’ve benefited them. Reportedly, the complaint reads that a fan from Montreal, Canada purchased two seats, costing up to $790 each, to Drake’s July 14 concert at the Bell Centre. The next day, a new show was added to the tour (on July 15) with Ticketmaster listing the same seats up to $350 less.” LPC Avocat Inc. claims that the website, “intentionally misleads consumers for [its] own financial gain.”
LPC also claims, “Official Platinum” are regular seats but were sold “at an artificially inflated premium in bad faith.” Fans who purchased shows in Canada, won’t be able to see 21 Savage reportedly due to his immigration issues. In 2019, 21 was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement after traveling with an epwired visa.
On the tour, Drizzy will perform songs from Certified Lover Boy, Honestly, Nevermind, and Her Loss with 21 Savage. It kicks off in New Orleans at the Smoothie King Center on June 16. Drake and 21 Savage confirmed their tour during the back-to-back concerts at Harlem’s Apollo Theater earlier this year.
