Tiffany Haddish is not here for the disrespect, especially from the Grammys.
The actor has opened up about the offer that she received from the Grammys; being asked to host for free.
Haddish was asked to host the 2021 award show with no compensation or no coverage for her hair or make-up.
As Variety reported, Haddish said, “I don’t know if this might mean I might not get nominated ever again, but I think it’s disrespectful.”
In 2019, she was nominated for the Netflix comedy special “Tiffany Haddish: Black Mitzvah”.
Harvey Mason Jr., the academy chair and interim president and CEO, took to his Instagram page to address the situation and to apologize to Haddish. Watch the video below.
