It looks like Tory Lanez switched attorneys.

According to reports, the rapper will no longer be represented by attorney George Mgdesyan. Reporter Meghan Cuniff tweets that Lanez hired famous lawyer David Kenner, who is knwon for representing Snoop Dogg and Suge Knight.

Rolling Stone reporter Nancy Dillon says Mgdesyan makes it clear that he is not exiting Tory’s team on bad terms. In a statement he says, “I don’t do appeals, so we had to get somebody on board to handle the appeal,” said Mgdesyan.

He also says that, if possible, he still “may attend” Lanez’s sentencing hearing on January 27, “if possible.” He explains, “as a party who represented Tory and is friends with Tory, I have an interest.”

We previously reported that Tory Lanez was found guilty in the Megan Thee Stallion case. He was charged with assault with a semiautomatic handgun, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
