Wale, what’s the tea? Twitter users are speculating that rapper Wale made his single ‘Lotus Flower Bomb’ featuring Miguel, about singer Solange.
We know the two were friends from an interview he did back in 2009 when he stated he “loves” Solo, and that they were “friends” and she’s “amazing.” All true, but this could’ve been one of those crush-type of friends. He told Honey Magazine, “We’re friends. She’s amazing. She’s a good person. Any single mother contributing to society the way she does – I got a lot of love for them. She’s got to do a lot on her own and raise a young black man in this day and age so my hat goes off to her. She’s definitely an anomaly. And the way she can do that and manage to do the same things that I complain about having to do.”
The song landed Wale his first grammy nomination, and it’s undoubtedly a vibe. A twitter user tweeted Wale to ask him what inspired the smash hit.
Well, Wale’s response has us all scratching our heads. Check out his response below.
