Could the video game dream fight we saw earlier this year between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor in the boxing ring be on its way to round two?
Many were disappointed when the two faced off in the squared circle instead of the octogon. It’s possible that those dreams might well come true.
According to Dana White during an interview with ESPN, “we’re talking to Floyd about doing a UFC deal.”
He later elaborated a bit.
“It’s real. He was talking about [boxing] Conor McGregor. Was that real? Have you heard Floyd talk about many things that aren’t real? He usually tips his hand when he’s in the media and then that s*** ends up happening. We’re interested in doing something with Floyd. Everything is a realistic possibility. Mayweather vs. McGregor f*cking happened. Anything is possible.”
Whoa!
Mayweather is currently 50-0 in the boxing ring with a win against McGregor in what was not that competitive of a fight.
