Willow Smith is telling the world about her relationship preference.

On an episode of Red Table Talk, Willow explains why being with one person isn’t ideal for her.

The 18-year-old says that she could see herself in a “throuple,” aka a consensual polyamorous relationship between three people. Her preference would be a man and a woman, with the belief that she is capable of loving them equally. Willow said,

“I feel like I could be polyfidelitous with those two people. I’m not the kind of person that is constantly looking for new sexual experiences,” she added.

“I focus a lot on the emotional connection and I feel like if I were to find two people of the different genders that I really connected with and we had a romantic and sexual connection, I don’t feel like I would feel the need to try to go find more.”

Willow talked about why a monogamous relationship wouldn’t work in her world. She said it would make her feel too constricted and she would want to feel “free.”

She feels marriage can be oppressive toward women. She also said some conventional relationships are built on the fear of the other person leaving, and she hates that. It creates a reassurance issue that “eats us alive.”

“And monogamy, I feel, actually inhibits you from learning those skills of evolving past those feelings of insecurity and jealousy,” Willow said.

The young mogul took to IG to announce that new music is on the way. Her debut album Ardipithecus dropped back in 2015. She put out EP’s in between. Wonder if she’ll talk more about her romantic preferences in WILLOW.
