While fans around the world are currently mourning the unfortunate death of 20 year-old artist XXX TENTACION, his music catalog on both Apple Music and Amazon have reached increasingly high streaming numbers since his untimely passing yesterday evening.
The late Florida rapper’s music projects ? and 17 have both reached No. 1 and No.2 spots on Amazon Movers and Shakers Digital Music List. His album ? saw a 41,306 percent spike in digital sales, along with 17 being up by nearly 9,000 percent in digital sales.
XXX TENTACION’s music is also taking over iTunes charts; both of his albums have vaulted up to the No.3 (?) and No. 5 (17) spots.
His single ‘SAD!’ is currently sitting at the No.1 spot, along with another single “Changes” at the No. 5 spot. The CDs and vinyls for both of his studio albums have also seen a tremendous increase. The vinyl version for his album ‘?’ has also parachuted a mind-blowing 542,566 percent in sales.
R.I.P XXX Tentacion, it is unfortunate that his ill-timed death is what brought more attention to his music.
