Summer Jam Slime Language Set!
Thugger and Gunna are set to take the Summer Jam Main Stage after dropping huge albums in 2021 and in Gunna’s case 2022 as well. Young Thug has been on top of the rap game for years and has served as a tastemaker and trendsetter by introducing new artists to the world, as well as genre-bending. One of the artists Thug helped usher into the rap game was his Summer Jam partner Gunna.
Gunna took the world by storm this year by introducing the term
“pushin’ P”
to the world at large through his hit track

off his album DS4EVER. Gunna has had three studio albums reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 -

was a collaboration project between Thug and Gunna that featured some of the biggest names in hip-hop including
Drake, Future, Lil Baby,

Meek Mill.
No album Gunna has ever released has failed to enter the Billboard
top three
in albums.
Similarly every studio album that Young Thug has ever released has reached #1 on the American Billboard Charts. Believe it or not, Thug didn’t release his first studio album until 2019 despite being a prominent voice in hip-hop for nearly a decade. Impressively, his mixtape

charted on the Billboard Hot 200 all the way at 22, and his other mixtapes excelled even further than that.
Through the years we’ve seen Thug become accepted by the mainstream - years ago Young Thug would have been considered a
“mumble rapper”
but
he overcame that label and solidified himself as a hip-hop great.

Both Thug and Gunna have become synonymous with their fashion sense. Thug has been breaking boundaries and trendsetting in the fashion world for years, but Gunna has taken the world by storm with his signature

In 2021, Rihanna dressed as Gunna for Halloween, providing a picture that broke the internet.
These artists are both on an upward trajectory showing no sign of stopping. Thug has done an impressive job of coaching young artists and building their brands, Gunna is the perfect example. This Summer Jam set is going to have more slime than the Kids Choice Awards, get ready to see Slime Language live in person on the biggest stage in hip-hop.
