Young Thug was able to say his final goodbye to a family member.

As reported on XXL, Thug’s sister, Angela Grier passed away in March and he was able to go to her private viewing. Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steel, confirmed the news.

Another source points out the funeral was at Gus Thornhill’s Chapel in Atlanta on Friday (March 31). The cause of death is u clear, sending condolences to the family.

The tragic news comes one year after one of the mothers of Thug’s children passed away last year. In March 2022, LaKevia Jackson was shot dead in Atlanta following a dispute at a bowling alley. A 25-year-old man, Joshua Fleetwood is being held at Fulton County Jail for the crime.

A few months later after Jackson’s death, Thug, Gunna, and dozens of YSL members were arrested on RICO charges. The indictment claims Thug is the leader of a gang that terrorized Atlanta over the past decade.

Gunna struck a plea deal and was released, along with a few other members. However, Thug remains behind bars, awaiting trial. It was set to begin in January but had a few delays.

Jury selection is underway. Earlier this week, a potential juror received a three-day jail sentence for filming inside of the courtroom after she was told not to.

We’ll keep you updated with more details about the trial.
