Young Thug’s YSL Rico trial hit a bump in the road.

Earlier this week, Thugger and his co-defendant, Kahlieff Adams, were caught on video during court doing a drug exchange. Kahlieff was in the back of the courtroom and then walked toward Young Thug, who was facing forward and didn’t see him coming.

Then Kahlieff proceeds to hand Thug a Percocet, according to a news report. A Fulton County deputy catches on and confiscates the pill. Take a look:

Officers searched Kahlieff and discovered he had marijuana, tobacco, and other contraband “wrapped in plastic and food seasonings to mask the smell.” In addition, according to the report, when taken to a hospital, he appeared to “eat other contraband items.”

As a result, the trial was delayed. Kahlief is facing more charges (he’s currently serving life without parole for murder). It’s not clear if Young Thug faces additional charges.

The Jasmine Brand reports Young Thug’s attorney said his client had nothing to do with it. Keith Adams said,

“The reality is Mr. Williams had nothing to do with what went on in the courtroom yesterday. One of the co-defendants, on his way to the restroom, attempted to pass something to Mr. Williams, who immediately turned it over to the deputy.” He continued,

“He did not know. We don’t know what it is, did not know. It was turned over to a deputy right away. The deputies took action, the individual who had the contraband, not Mr. Williams, was taken into the back. Where I’m told he ingested whatever he had. He had to be taken to the hospital and as a result court was terminated for the rest of the day.”
