Another version of the New York anthem, “City Of Gods,” is here.

Alicia Keys released part two of the song, featuring her beautiful angelic but soulful vocals. The original version appears on Kanye’s Donda 2 and Fivio Foregin’s debut album, B.I.B.L.E. featuring her and Kanye West. The second version is softer but still features the drill-sounding elements. The hook is the same, but Alicia sings new verses. A famous verse from the track:

“City Of Gods, City Of Dreams

City Where Nothing Is Ever What It Seems

They’ll Never Take It All Away From Me

‘Cause I See Nothing But Infinity

And I, I Will Love

I Will Love You Wherever You Are

I’ve Been Wishing, Wishing On Every Star

I Believe, I Believe That You’re Never Far

I’m Begging You.”

The visual is out, and it was directed by Sylvia Zachary and Sing Lee, Complex reports. The legend Slick Rick made a cameo. Check it out:

It’s not clear if this single will appear on a new Keys album. “City Of God’s Part 2” is her first single since becoming an independent artist. Last year, she got out of her contract following the release of her eighth studio album, Keys.

Alicia and Hov spoke about it last year during a Twitter space conversation. Jay gave Alicia props for being independent, he said, “The fact that you were signed to a label for 20 years is an amazing thing in itself, but the fact that you were able to complete your contract, not many people have been afforded that.”
