The Queen has released a music video for the Lion King’s song Spirit. Aside from the music video, you can hear the song in the movie, as well as on the album that will come with the movie. The album, The Lion King: The Gift,  was curated by Beyoncé and will feature contributions from Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, JAY-Z, WizKid, Childish Gambino, Blue Ivy, Tierra Whack, and many more.

During an interview on Good Morning America, Beyonce says “This soundtrack is a love letter to Africa,” she continues “I wanted to make sure we found the best talent from Africa and not just use some of the sounds and do my interpretation of it. I wanted it to be authentic to what is beautiful about the music in Africa.”

Beyoncé will play Nala in the remake of the classic movie, which is set to hit theaters July 18th. Are you going to see it?
