New year, new projects. We’ve made it to the first week of 2023. To kick off the first ‘New Music Friday’, NBA Youngboy, DJ Drama & French Montana, and DJ Drama & J.Stone have released new projects.

Following up from 2022’s, Lost Files, NBA Youngboy has released I Rest My Case. The 19- track album has no guest appearances but features previously released tracks, “Top Girls,” “Black” and “Groovy.” I Rest My Case is Youngboy’s fifth studio album but first under new label, Motown Records.

French Montana & DJ Drama

French Montana and DJ Drama have collaborated again for the sixth installment of the Coke Boys mixtape, called CB6 Money Heist Edition. The 20-track album features guests such as Kodak Black, ASAP Rocky, Chinese Kitty, Max B, the late Chinx, King Combs and more. Drama shared in an Instagram post, “New Year… Same Hustle!! Droppin 1/6!! @frenchmontana “Coke Boys 6… Money Heist Edition” Gangsta Grill!! I Gave Yall A Chance To Catch Up…What Happened #FreeBiggavelli“.

J.Stone

J.Stone is continuing the marathon Nipsey Hussle started. The South Central L.A rapper and the legendary DJ Drama have teamed up for a new Gangsta Grillz mixtape, Rollin’ Stone. The rapper tapped a slew of guests to lend their bars for his tenth album. Guest features include Young Dolph, Curren$y, Juicy J, Yhung T.O and many more. The 37-year old rapper teased fans about the project on November 4th with an Instagram post, “Rollin’Stone w @djdrama LOADING…⏳”. Stone had been a longtime friend of Nipsey Hussle and member of Hussle’s “All Money In No Money Out” label.
