Roman has gone mad!
Nicki Minaj released the extended version of her sizzling new single “Super Freaky Girl” (Roman Remix).
Toward the song’s end, the queen of rap talks about being in the game for 15 years and still being at the forefront of music. Notable line: “Tell that goofy get a chair, she was cocky, I could swear,til my old tape sold more than your album, drop a tear.”
In 2021, Nicki re-released her 2009 mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty, and it debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The line could be a reference to that moment in her career.
The Queens rapper also pays homage to her Young Money family cleverly. On the song, Nicki raps:
“Don’t play with Nicki ’cause it could get tricky.
And that’s word to Dricki, bitch, it could get sticky
And that’s word to Dwayne Mi–, Michael Carter (Uh)
I’m a finish these dumb bitches, Michael Myers (Woo).”

Nicki dropped the 1981 “Super Freak” Rick James sample on August 12. She teased the upcoming video for it on August 17. The 15-second clip looks she’s having some fun in her Barbie house. The “Anaconda” rapper sits pretty on a counter top with a knife as a man is in between her legs, kissing on her.

The Barbz, plus the entire world will get to see Nicki Minaj at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards. She is this year’s recipient of MTV’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Nicki will also perform live for the first time since 2018. She’s also hosting the show, alongside LL Cool J and Jack Harlow.
