Sol’ana Introduces Herself With “I’m Good”

Toronto singer-songwriter Sol’ana is ready to claim her space in R&B with her debut single “I’m Good,” a soulful declaration of self-worth and emotional resilience. Blending the raw sincerity of Celine Dion with the powerhouse emotion of Whitney Houston, Sol’ana delivers a record rooted in heartbreak but blossoming into empowerment.

“The song is based on a real story, a real situation, and real emotion,” Sol’ana says in a press release. “I was down bad for a relationship that turned my world upside down when I wrote it. I poured my heart into it, and with this song, my goal is to empower people in relationships that often feel like love but don’t necessarily give that or pour into you the proper way. Love is not control — and if it is, be good off that.”

Produced by Grammy winner Kevin Ekofo (Wizkid, John Legend, Tink), “I’m Good” blends lo-fi grooves with Sol’ana’s opera-trained vocals, creating a sound that’s both intimate and cinematic. “Our synergy brings this song to life in a way that’s raw and honest,” she says.

Lyrically, Sol’ana radiates confidence and self-respect. With affirmations like “Second to none, know that I’m first and more,” she invites listeners to reclaim their power and peace. She describes the single as “the ultimate middle finger moment,” an anthem for anyone choosing themselves after giving too much.

Beyond the studio, Sol’ana’s artistry is grounded in motherhood. As a mom of two, she balances creative passion with raising her children — often involving them in her process.

“I want to push my kids to believe that you can follow your dreams while being transparent about the process,” she says. “Everything takes hard work, dedication, and love for what you do.”

That love began early: by age nine, she was winning vocal competitions, performing “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid. Now, with “I’m Good,” she’s stepping fully into her moment — redefining modern R&B with vulnerability, strength, and soul.

“I’m Good” is available now on all major streaming platforms, accompanied by an acoustic version and intimate visuals. Follow Sol’ana on Instagram @itssolanaa to join her journey.
