21 Savage and Fivio Foreign are trading shots after comments questioning 21’s street credibility sparked a heated back-and-forth online.

The tension began after Fivio Foreign suggested in a recent interview with DJ Akademiks, that he doesn’t view 21 Savage as “street,”. Clips from the conversation quickly circulated on social media, igniting debate among fans and artists alike.

21 Savage caught wind of Foreign’s comments and clapped back.

The Grammy-winning rapper fired back on social media, unloading on Fivio and others who have criticized his perspective. In a blunt response, 21 dismissed Fivio’s comments questioning his credibility.

Rather than backing down, 21 doubled down on his broader message, explaining that his comments about the streets are about growth and survival, not denial of his past. He has repeatedly said he’s focused on encouraging younger generations to avoid the violence and trauma tied to street life, rather than glorifying it.

Fivio Foreign later responded via Instagram Stories, standing by his original remarks and making it clear he wasn’t interested in escalating the situation further. “I said what I said,” he wrote, signaling that he wasn’t retracting his stance.
