21 Savage Shares Heartfelt Video After Becoming U.S. Resident

21 Savage is officially a permeant US Citizen.

Announced by Drake during their It’s All A Blur tour, “ladies and gentlemen, performing for the first time outside of America in his life. Make some noise for the brother, 21,” Drake yelled to the crowd in Toronto.

Following the performance Savage shared a photo of he and Drake and captioned it, “Toronto has my heart forever…thank y’all for the 2gb of data because after that my service wasn’t nothing I’ll be back tho!!!!”

The rapper also shared an emotional video paying tribute to his journey. The video ends with him confirming that he’ll soon be returning home to Europe.

Back in 2019, the rapper was caught by ICE as he was accused of residing in America on an expired visa. “Mr. Abraham-Joseph initially entered the U.S. legally in July 2005, but subsequently failed to depart under the terms of his nonimmigrant visa and he became unlawfully present in the U.S. when his visa expired in July 2006,” read a statement from the federal agency. “In addition to being in violation of federal immigration law, Mr. Abraham-Joseph was convicted on felony drug charges in October 2014 in Fulton County, Georgia.”
