In the years following 50 Cent‘s release, he has become a main source of inspiration for many of the biggest stars today. The mogul’s approval is guaranteed to push the track to the top of the charts. In the latest stamp, 50 approves the use of his classic The Massacre track “I’m Suppose To Die Tonight” by Top Dawg Entertainment recording artist Ray Vaughn.
It was on July 26 that Vaughn released a new track based on the 50 classic “Supposed To Die.” Over the weekend, 50 Cent shared Ray’s video on Instagram, accompanied by the caption “I approve” and a 100 emoji. Ray expressed his gratitude in the comments, saying, “But literally one of my favorite rappers this means a lot fr.”
50 Cent and TDE have been intertwined in headlines throughout July over the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef. As a result of 50 Cent’s longstanding friendship with Dr. Dre, who is Kendrick Lamar’s mentor and came to support him at The Pop-Out, he was seen hanging out with Drake while performing in Toronto, which caused backlash on social media.
Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” a Drake diss track, has become one of the biggest records of 2024. The number-one song on the Billboard charts has generated the highest views on YouTube. The song’s success and the beef has alluded to Drake allegedly blocking Los Angeles recording artists from performing in Toronto.
TDE acts Schoolboy Q, and SiR have recently revealed that the venue has canceled their tour stops in Toronto for undisclosed reasons. “They Not Like Us,” tweeted SiR after sharing the news of his canceled show with fans on Tuesday (July 30). Drake’s involvement in the cancellations has not been confirmed.
