50 Cent was recently called out by T.I. to compete in a Verzuz. That said, T.I. also claimed that the New York native “didn’t want the smoke” with him or his catalogue. The G-Unit founder, of course, responded in the only way he could, with trolling.
In a post on Saturday (Feb. 7), 50 Cent shared a video of what appears to be T.I. testifying on the stand. In the clip, T.I. identifies the body of a dead man named Phil, as well as details the process of calling his family to inform them of his death. “No, no, I don’t like it 🤨No verses, let’s do (The stay away challenge ) and stay away from me. LOL @50centaction,” Fif wrote in the post’s caption.
A day prior, Fif shared another video of T.I. in a promotional ad for Crime Stoppers Atlanta. “I know Atlanta pick and choose who they support, but 😆yall gotta do better. LOL 😆keep my name out ya mouth ! @bransoncognac,” the post’s caption read. It seems safe to say that Verzuz won’t be happening anytime soon.
50 Cent Hasn’t Released New Music For One Specific Reason, He Says
In other news, during a new interview, 50 Cent reveals why he hasn’t been releasing music as of late. According to the rapper, while he enjoys making music and doesn’t plan on quitting anytime soon, hip-hop is a young man’s game.
“Look, I’m going to make music. I’m excited that this is the feeling. The general consensus is they want to hear something new from me, right?” he tells Rolling Stone. “You can have the best verse, but I don’t think you should have the best verse at 50 years old.” In the rapper’s opinion, hip-hop is “connected to youth culture.”
He added, “I’m glad I stopped, ’cause you can bang your head against the wall until your brain falls out the other side. And it’s not that the music isn’t right, it’s that they’re choosing something else at the moment.”
