50 Cent is a true boss!

Not many artists are capable of making a swift transition from rapper to movie star, to producer/director. The Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ legend recently won an NAACP award for his outstanding directing for a dramatic series for Power, and his album Get Rich Or Die Tryin‘ also recently went 9x’s platinum.

Since the finale of Power, Starz announced that there will be five spin-off series, focusing on some of the main characters. Power Book III: Raising Kanan will explore 50 Cent’s character, a younger Kanan. 50 is also in the ABC series For Life, that’s about a man doing life for a crime he didn’t commit. 50 Cent plays the role of an inmate.

50 has more in store for fans. Last year there was chatter about him creating a Black Mafia Family aka BMF series on Starz. This show will tell the story of the drug-trafficking organization.

50 posted an update about the production of the series. On IG he said he was given a budget which means production should start soon if it hasn’t already. No details as of right now on a release date but we’ll keep you posted.
