50 Cent is looking to expand his empire.
As reported on TMZ, the Queens, NY rapper wants to buy BET. Born Curtis Jackson, he teamed up with Kenya Barris at the Paramount offices in NYC earlier this week to “talk business, and the possibility of buying the network,” according to the report.
The article says Shaq is also on their team for the media company. “50, Shaq and Kenya are fully loaded and ready to make an offer with some help from CVC — an investment company,” the publication says.
There’s a possibility they can become the owners as the deal isn’t almost finalized but they’re “deep in it.” The three celebrities together have a multitude of connections. 50 Cent had a successful run on STARZ and he recently signed a multi-year deal with FOX. Fif also recently announced his global The Final Lap tour to celebrate 20 years of Get Rich or Die Trying. Kenya Barris and Shaq also have TV deals.
50 Cent reacted online and said, “GLG🚦GreenLightGang you know I don’t miss 🎯Let’s play let’s make a deal!”
