50 Cent’s latest true crime project, The Gilgo Beach Killer: House of Secrets, premiered this week on Peacock and is already making headlines. The docuseries centers on Rex Heuermann, the Long Island architect charged in 2023 with the murders of seven women whose bodies were discovered along a parkway dating back to 1996. In a stunning moment during the final episode, the show includes a statement from Heuermann’s daughter, Victoria.
“A week before the series release, Victoria Heuermann told the producers that based on publicly available facts that have been presented and explained to her, she now believes her father is most likely the Gilgo Beach killer,” the statement reads, according to AllHipHop. Rex Heuermann has pleaded not guilty and is expected in court on June 17th.
Just days after the series premiere, 50 Cent took to Instagram to tease yet another project—this one based on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ongoing legal troubles. “Inspired by the rise and fall of Sean P Diddy Combs, f**k it I gotta make some money off this s**t. Coming Soon! This ain’t Empire,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, 50 is also entangled in his own legal drama. In April, he filed a lawsuit against Ryan Kavanaugh, Skill House Movie LLC, and GenTV LLC over the horror film Skill House, which he starred in and produced. “They claim I’m a producer,” he said. “But I had no control, no input, and no payment. Neither has my son.” Earlier this month, he asked a Los Angeles judge to block the film’s scheduled July 11th release.
On social media, he’s made it clear how he feels about the film: “This guy Ryan Kavanaugh is doing everything in his power to make me kill this movie,” he wrote. “This one is going in the trash CAN!”
