The “King of New York” title is one of the highest honors in hip-hop. A Boogie described how the king title is decided during the interview, saying, “I feel like the people, the fans, make it that. I never really forced that on people. I was never on songs like, ‘I’m the King of New York.’
“It was a lot of people that was out here doing that and made people give their opinions. But on my end, that shit just fell in my lap. I’m just doing my thing. I like making fire music. The beauty of it is being able to sell out arenas.”
