A$AP Rocky sparked concern this week after being photographed in a wheelchair on the streets of West Hollywood. Images published by TMZ on Monday show the rapper attempting to climb into a yellow Hummer, partially draped in a blanket and visibly distressed.

The reason behind Rocky’s condition remains unclear, and he has yet to release any public statement. The incident comes shortly after his appearance at Paris Fashion Week, where he unveiled his latest AWGE collection and made an unexpected cameo at Jonathan Anderson’s debut Dior show. At that time, he appeared in good spirits and showed no visible signs of health issues.

Just days before his Paris runway moment, Rocky and his wife, Rihanna, made headlines in Brussels, where they walked the blue carpet for the world premiere of Smurfs. Rihanna voices Smurfette in the animated reboot, starring alongside James Corden, Nick Offerman, and Octavia Spencer. The film premiered in U.S. theaters on July 18.

New Milestones, Personal and Professional

The sudden health concerns come as the couple prepares for their growing family. Rihanna, who revealed her third pregnancy at the Met Gala earlier this year, is already mother to two young sons with Rocky, born in 2022 and 2023.

Meanwhile, fans continue to await Rocky’s long-delayed fourth studio album, Don’t Be Dumb. Though originally expected in August 2023, the release has yet to be rescheduled. In the interim, the Harlem-born artist has dropped a string of singles—among them “Highjack,” “Tailor Swif,” “Ruby Rosary,” and the recent “Pray4DaGang.”
