Amber Rose’s latest appearance on Nick Cannon’s Big Drive sparked controversy over the weekend following her claims that caucasians should be allowed to say the “N-Word.”
During the discussion, Rose argued that White people should be able to say the N-word, suggesting that removing the emotional charge surrounding the term could reduce violence within communities.
“White people should be able to say n***a,” Rose said in the interview.
She expanded on that position moments later. “Because when you really stop giving a fuck about stupid, dumbass fucking words, we’ll stop killing each other,” she said, framing her argument around the idea that society places excessive focus on language rather than addressing deeper social issues.
Rose also emphasized that context matters when interpreting language. According to her, the word carries different meaning depending on how it is used.
“You know if somebody says the hard ‘R’ and is pointing at you, is very different than rap lyrics,” Rose said. “Or just saying, ‘That’s my n***a.’”

She argued that people can distinguish between hateful speech and cultural expression. “We’re all smart enough to know what’s right and wrong,” Rose added. “Why are we creating so much damage and meaning behind it?”
Later in the conversation on Nick Cannon’s Big Drive, Rose also weighed in on American politics. She questioned whether the Democratic Party effectively serves communities of color while suggesting that Republicans claim stronger support.
Cannon then offered his own commentary on the political system during the exchange.
“People don’t know that the Democrats are the party of the KKK,” he said. “People don’t know that the Republicans are the party that freed the slaves.”
He continued by rejecting strict affiliation with either party. “I don’t subscribe to either party,” Cannon said. “There’s no such thing as two parties. It’s one evil party with two different names.”
