Ashanti is looking forward to expanding her family.

During an interview with E!, the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter revealed how much she is enjoying motherhood.

“I am feeling amazing, incredibly pleased, humbled,” Ashanti said. “My life has completely changed for the better. I feel full, you know? My cup is full.”

Then she shared that she is anticipating having more children with her husband Nelly.

“We’re going to add some more,” Ashanti said. “Definitely a girl to balance it out. I’m outnumbered in the house right now. So, a girl would be great.”

In November, she and Nelly had their first son together, Kareem Kenkaide.

“Having kids is always a blessing,” Nelly said at the time. “And seeing how dope Ashanti is as a mother is awesome.”

Ashanti revealed that she named Kenkaide after her father.

“[That] is my dad’s name,” Ashanti told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “And obviously my dad has only girls, you know, so Nelly was just like, ‘I think that would be really, really dope. And this was all his idea.”

Following the birth of their son, the couple had a private wedding last December in St. Louis.

In an interview, the couple shared how much they are loving being a family.

“She’s an awesome mom, to watch someone care about someone else so much and give their all and is willing to give their all,” Nelly said. “Like she said, sometimes it can be too far but you would way prefer to have a parent that goes too far than a parent that doesn’t go far enough.”

Chronicling their journey, Ashanti and Nelly announced they would be filming a reality TV show.

According to reports, the couple will offer fans a glimpse into their relationship, family life, and everyday moments. The docuseries is expected to premiere on Peacock and has been in production for several months.
