Congratulations are in order as Ashanti’s mother seemingly confirms pregnancy rumors.
While speaking on a panel over the weekend, Tina Douglas was asked about Ashanti and Nelly expecting their first child together. Although Tina didn’t totally spill the beans, she did say it was no secret.
“It is public, don’t get it twisted,” Douglas said. “But it hasn’t been officially announced.”
Fans began speculating that Nelly and Ashanti may be expecting their first child together after a video of the two on stage together went viral.
The two were spotted together during Nelly’s Black & White Charity Ball 2023 in St. Louis. After the hit the stage together, video captures Nelly placing his hand on Ashanti’s belly as the crowd chanted “seal the deal.” Ashanti also placed her hands on her lower belly, which left fans to believe a bun may be in the over. “Did Nelly Just Announce Ashanti Is Pregnant?” asked one fan.
