Baltimore Key Bridge Collapses After Being Hit By A Ship

Prayers up!

Overnight, the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore was struck by a cargo ship and collapsed into the Patapsco River.

According to reports, several cars were seen on the bridge at the time, as well as multiple contractors who were repairing potholes. James Wallace, chief of the Baltimore City Fire Department, said two people were rescued in the initial hours of the search. One suffered no injuries and one remains in “very serious condition,” he said.

“This is an unthinkable tragedy,” Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott said at a news conference.

Reports claim that this was “an accident” and not an “intentional act of terror” as the ship reportedly lost power causing the tragedy.

We will keep you updated as the story develops. We are praying for the city of Baltimore, and everyone who was affected by this tragedy.
