Beyoncé Pledges $6 Million To Provide Mental Health Support Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

Beyoncé is joining in on the mission provide funds to the COVID-19 relief.

Queen Bee’s charity BeyGOOD and Twitter’s CEO Jack Dorsey have pledge to donate $6 million to aid organizations that provide mental wellness services. A statement from Beyoncé’s representative reads, “In our major cities, African-Americans comprise a disproportionate number of workers in these indispensable occupations, and they will need mental health support and personal wellness care, including testing and medical services, food supplies and food deliveries, both during and after the crisis.”

The donation reportedly includes health facilities supported by UCLA, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (particularly in New York, Houston, New Orleans, and Detroit), the United Memorial Medical Center, Bread of Life, Mathew 25, and more.

Bey joins many other celebrities such as her husband Jay-Z, Rihanna, Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion and more in supporting COVID-19 relief.
