Jimmy Kimmel has welcomed countless musical acts to his late-night stage, but BigXthaPlug made history with a gesture no one expected.

During his April 23 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the Dallas-born rapper didn’t just deliver a dynamic medley of “The Largest” and “Mmhmm” from his sophomore album TAKE CARE. He iced out the host with a Texas-shaped chain—one that turned heads both on stage and backstage.

As Kimmel held up the vinyl version of TAKE CARE, he introduced BigXthaPlug by proudly referencing the custom pendant. “The man who gave me this beautiful piece of jewelry,” he said, setting the tone for a performance charged with Southern swagger.

Backed by a live band, BigXthaPlug ran through two of his country-rap bangers before pausing to thank the audience and the host with genuine appreciation. “Jimmy Kimmel. BigXthaPlug. I appreciate y’all,” he said.

Behind the scenes, a clip captured the exact moment the rapper handed over the chain.

“I come bearing gifts as always. We’re twinning. I have one as well,” BigXthaPlug told Kimmel. The host, ever quick with a quip, replied, “People do tell me we look like twins… I feel like a princess.”

The Texas-shaped pendant isn’t just an accessory—it’s a symbol. Designed by The Ice Champ, it mirrors the cover art of BigXthaPlug’s 2022 breakout single “Texas,” which features cultural staples from the Lone Star State: a Mavericks jersey, a cup of lean, swangas jutting from a slab, and a proud longhorn. “If you go look at the cover, this is identical,” the rapper said during GQ’s On the Rocks segment. “The man did his big one, for sure. This is my artist piece, I feel like.”

The chain alone cost $30,000. The pendant? A cool $60,000. Still, BigXthaPlug insists this isn’t just a flex—it’s his favorite piece to perform in.

Musically, the TAKE CARE deluxe edition dropped in January, adding three new tracks: “Holy Ground” featuring Jessie Murph, “Life of a Boss,” and “Comes & Goes” with Tommy Newport. Then in April, he released “All the Way,” a collaborative single with country artist Bailey Zimmerman. The genre-blending track is closing in on 10 million YouTube views, proving BigXthaPlug’s momentum is no fluke.

With charm, charisma, and an unapologetically Texas sound, BigXthaPlug continues to expand his reach—one diamond-encrusted gift at a time.
